On May 14, 2026, Good Shepherd Higher Secondary School, Chapahati, marked a significant milestone in its history with the inauguration of the "Pioneer Batch" for Class XI (Arts Stream). The event was graced by Sr. Rosa Pyngrope, FMA, Provincial of Shillong Province, as the Chief Guest. Her presence and motivational message served as a "precious gift" to the new students. The program was guided by the visionary leadership of Principal Fr. Joy Francis, Headmistress Sr. Brijita N Marak, and Assistant Headmistress Sr. Crecencia A Sangma.
